JIMSIF Meets Akoka Community To Improve Service Delivery

JIMSIF Waste Management company met with Akoka Orile Igbari Landlord Association in a townhall meeting to discuss ways to improve service delivery on effective waste management. The event which held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Recreation Sport Centre Ojo Square, Akoka had in attendance leaders such as the Baale of Orile Igbari, Chief S.A.A Junaid; Special Adviser to Somolu LGA Chairman on Environment, Mr Rotimi Oloyede; JIMSIF Chairman, Chief Gboyega Adepitan and residents of the community.

“JIMSIF Chairman, Chief Gboyega Adepitan in his address enumerated the challenges limiting the operational capacity of the Company ranging from late/non payment of bills and the bad state of the roads leading to the Olusosun dump site. He nevertheless, apologized and gave assurance that his company will put measures in place to improve their service delivery”.

“Mr Rotimi Oloyede on his part reassured JIMSIF on the resolve of the the Local Government to duly prosecute customers who default on payment for services rendered”. Some of the residents also seized the opportunity to voice their grievances such as irregular pick up of generated waste and lackadaisical attitude of JIMSIF operatives which leads to littering of the streets whilst picking up waste.
